KDYD was established in 2010 but got formal registration as an autonomous non-governmental organisation (NGO) in 2015 and holds a registration certificate under the registrar of societies. It was therefore founded with the vision to bringing sustainable livelihood to the youth and vulnerable through life changing skills, good health and other community challenges faced by orphans, women and the different abbled community members
The main objective of the organisation is to fight against HIV/AIDs, TB and Mental Health and provide support to the disabled, orphans, women, and the vulnerable and empower youths with survival skills for self sustainability.
One man's trash is another man's treasure. Our organisation is need of support not only financially but also in skills related empowerment. You never know, a pen to you, is worth a career to another.
In todays world, everyone needs to be educated. To survive in this world, More literacy isn't enough. Our youths are taught various skills in sports, ICT, metal fabrication and capentry. It is for this reason that your support in terms of equipments/materials that can be used to effectively teach the outlined skills would be helpful.
To establish or assist in the establishment of skills development centers. We also have plans to run piggery production, goat keeping and poultry farming. This will help create jobs for our unemployed youths.
We help young people discover their skills, competence and talents that will enable them become responsible citizens. We also engage into self-help subsidiary companies and cooperatives that can help the organization generate income for the alleviation of poverty. This is by initiating income generating activities that can help raise funds for scholastic items of the disadvantaged.
It's a great place for people who want to do social work. Environment is good very friendly. KYD Org is doing great by helping the vulnerable youths to achieve their dreams.
I have been working with Kasempa Youth Development Organization for the past 5 years and it feels great to be part of this organisation. Each and every team member is extremely supportive and enthusiastic towards their work.
